We needed to get out of the house yesterday afternoon to pass a little more time since Grayson decided this was one of those days he was not needing a nap. We packed up and went down to the Ocean. There was a great band to greet us as we parked and got out by the Hilton. There were people dancing, listening, sleeping. It looked like one of those moments out of a movie! As we crossed the bike path, Grayson got really excited-there was a new playground in the sand. He had a great time climbing, sliding, driving, and getting out that energy!
We continued the rest of the way down to the water's edge. The tide was beginning to come in and the waves were actually really good! As Grayson kept going into the water with his bucket (faced the wrong way to be catching any water!) he continued to be knocked over by the crashing waves and water that chased him all the way back up. He laughed and ran and swam with
delight. Trevor and I enjoyed seeing his little footprints in the sand where he had run away from the waves. Unfortunately, my camera battery had died so did not a photo of his little feet! A great family night down at the VB Oceanfront! Thanks Heidi and Sue for your blogs about great beach evenings that inspired us to get out and do it more often! Love you guys!

Janye, I'm so glad that ya'll had such a great night!! I love seeing the incredible way that you are building so many priceless family memories!! Aren't we SOO blessed to live in an area that offers us the opportunities to just have FUN with our families! We really do serve an incredible God!
I know, once you do it one time you always want to do it. It's so peaceful there at night. There's just a different air about it for sure. As Katy said... A playground? No kidding, I didn't know that either. Another reason to go back.
