Seeing as the Conners decided to stay one more day, we gave them a couple of local choices, but ultimately decided on a day at Busch Gardens. Elijah has only been on small fair rides, so the big park was exciting. The whole experience was wonderful! Grayson loved showing off "his park" and all of his favorite things. We're convinced that the boys could have just rode the train all day, but we did hit some other rides too. Trevor and Kevin got to Griffon right away--nothing like going for the big one to get broken back in!! Grayson even got to do a first and rode Le Scoot, the log flume. Although Trevor said that after the first little hill, he wanted off of the ride, he made it to the grand finale and even liked enough to tell me that "he had fun on the big slide and he and daddy got really wet!" We can't wait to get back and do this together as a family. Maybe he'll be ready for the Big Bad Wolf next summer afterall, girls!! Elijah did brave the Wolf after hitting all of the smaller rides, but after getting off he said "never again". After doing the skyride and the train one last time, we circled the park adn went home. We had great intentions of stopping at Cracker Barrell for supper, but both boys were sleeping 5 minutes down the road! A successful day with a peaceful ending.

We haven't been in a few weeks and once Daddy gets home, we're going to be ready to hit it again! Sounds like you had a great time - isn't it fun having it so close by? The Log Flume is one the boys haven't done yet - we kept telling them we had to wait until they came in their swim suits. I didn't want to deal with them whining about wet shorts! Sounds like quite fun - and the best part is the sleeping boys on the way home!
Sounds like fun. We have yet to brave the summer crowds, but after reading your blog, I think we just might try to squeeze it in one day soon! Glad Grayson had fun with his cousin.
Jayne, I'm so glad that ya'll had such a great day at Busch Gardens!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture with Trevor & Grayson in the log flume!! And to be able to go to Busch Gardens with your family--HOW FUN! I'm SOO proud of Grayson for going down that big wet hill with his Daddy!! GOO GRAYSON!!
Look at that tired boy!!! I too love the log flume pictures. You captured it just right. He looks like he is having a ball. You guys had a great family weekend power packed for sure.
