Color Walk

It has been beautiful this week, and in the effort to get out of the house and enjoy the cooler temps, Grayson and I headed out. We put on our walking shoes, packed his backpack with snacks, took along a ziploc bag, and got the wagon. We took to the streets for a nature walk of sorts. Today's focus was a color walk--what could we find that represented all the colors Grayson knows. We didn't even leave the driveway before we discovered some green leaves and miniature white flowers. Grayson had to scale some ditches to get some yellow dandelions and shocking red leaves., but as he said "I can do it Mommy, I'll just scoot down on my bum". Priceless what comes out of a child's mouth (and now thanks to this, I'll record them for the masses to read and enjoy!). By the time we returned home, we had lots of nature, but also some pieces of trash to help us complete our collection. We glued them down, and even the rocks stuck! What a masterpiece!!
