The Park by the Water

I don't even know the name of the park and i didn't know how to get there...I only knew that it looked calming and always empty. We drive by often and see it from the Bypass. A playground, a lake, a little beach, and a path. Well when Heidi suggested a playdate, I got directions and Grayson and I headed out to this park in Chesapekae.

Heidi, Sue, and Katy were all there with the kids. We had a great visit and all of our families brought something home from nature. Katy and Sue stuck gigantic sticks in their cars/vans, we had a bucket full of rocks, and Heidi's stroller was full of pine cones!! Thanks for the invite to the "scary-by-yourself" park!!

We sure had a great day didn't we!!! I wish it was a place you could go and hang out by yourself. It's so peaceful back there. We'll have to do it again soon!!

It looks like it was a great playdate. We love that park too, but it is a long walk in the woods if you are by yourself.

That's so funny - we've commented the same thing, that you don't want to go to that park by your lonesome - I think even the kids sense some sort of darkness en route to the playground, but once you get past that -so much fun!!
